Q  Are the vinyl records authentic?

A  All vinyl records supplied are authentic issues / re-issues on the original record label. Some of our competitors offer replica records, with manufactured labels superimposed over random vinyl records. MyFirstRecord.co.uk does not do this, even to the point that we would not supply you with the "legitimate" retro re-releases on the "Old Gold" record label, so popular with record buyers in the 1980s.

Q  Will the record and sleeve be in a good condition?

A   Obviously with second hand merchandise, of up to 60 years old, there may be some residual damage i.e very slight wear and tear marks on the record labels and light scratches on the vinyl. However all vinyl records sourced and purchased on your behalf have to meet the criterion of a minimum "VG" ( Very Good ) standard. The acid test we use in determining whether the product is of a sufficiently high aesthetic standard, is would we hang it on our own wall? Therefore you are assured of a high quality!!

Q   How long will it take to source my designated record?

A   Unless it is very rare, we aim to source, frame and despatch your chosen vinyl record / CD within a week. Therefore the order to deliver process is normally a maximum of 7 days. If we have the vinyl record / CD in stock, we will turn your order around in 24 to 48 hours.

Q   What happens if you cannot source and supply my chosen record?

A    This is a very rare occurence. However, in these unusual circumstances, we would either give you a full refund, or if you preferred a Gift Certificate for the same value.

Q    How is the product despatched to me?

A    All products are sent First Class Special ( Recorded ) Delivery via Royal Mail and will need to be signed for

Q    Do you deliver outside the UK?

A     Yes, we will deliver outside the UK, provided that the customer accepts the risks involved. Although we can provide you with a tracking code, it must be noted that once the package has departed the UK we have no jurisdiction or control over the package and therefore cannot be held responsible for loss or damage. Please also note that there will be an additional £6-00 surcharge for Europe and £12-00 surcharge for Australia & the USA to cover the extra postage charges for a tracked service further afield. This charge will be levied after you have ordered and made the initial payment.

Q     Is MyFirstRecord an eco friendly / environmentally aware company?

A     We endeavour to be as eco friendly as possible. All the packaging used by our suppliers when sending us vinyl records & CDs is recycled, mainly to add extra padding and protection to the frames when sent to our customers. Our packaging and frames are sourced from companies who observe and adhere to eco friendly practices. And of course the very nature of using second hand vinyl records, CDs, DVDs and books is environmentally friendly in itself!!
